ARTHRITIS & BURSITIS PAIN

Arthritis means “inflammation of a joint.” In some forms of arthritis, such as osteoarthritis, the inflammation arises because the smooth covering on the ends of bones becomes damaged or worn.

BROKEN BONES

Bones are rigid, but they do bend or “give” somewhat when an outside force is applied. However, if the force is too great, the bones will break—just as a plastic ruler breaks when it is bent too far.

FOOT & ANKLE CONDITIONS

Our feet and ankles bear the brunt of pressure that comes from supporting our full body weight, and the incredible demand we put on them is often more than they can endure.

INJURED MUSCLES, TENDONS AND LIGAMENTS

Muscles and tendons are the tissues that move joints. The muscles are the “red meat” of the body. When they receive a signal from the brain via the nerves, the muscles contract.

JOINT PAIN & INFLAMMATION

Creaky, achy joints. A twinge in the knee. A sharp shooting pain in the groin. We assume that joint pain is a normal part of aging and something that we just have to learn to live with.

NEUROPATHY

Neuropathy is the term used to describe a problem with the nerves, usually the “peripheral nerves” as opposed to the central nervous system.

OCCUPATIONAL INJURIES

Generally related to repetitive motion during work-related tasks, occupational injuries are approached differently than injuries resulting from a single incident or accident.

OSTEOPOROSIS & BONE DENSITY

Osteoporosis is the most common bone disease. It involves the thinning of bone tissue and loss of bone density, and it is most common in the spine, hips, and wrists.

SPINAL DISORDERS

Your backbone, or spine, consists of 26 bone discs, called vertebrae. The vertebrae protect your spinal cord and allow you to stand and bend. Several problems can change the structure of the spine, or damage the vertebrae.

SPORTS INJURIES

Sports injuries occur for a variety of reasons. Acute injuries occur when contact or force is too much for your muscles, joints, or bones to absorb. A twisted ankle, or an awkward landing, are examples of this.

WOUNDS & BRUISING

When treating an injury of any kind, it is paramount to first identify the type and severity of the wound. It is critical that the proper steps be taken to treat the injury effectively and efficiently
